The new Västerled will undoubtedly be a golf course that will contain many tactical choices and with an exciting aesthetic expression rarely seen in Scandinavia. The bunkers will not be particularly many but well placed and the design stands out through the framing soft high rough which together with the opposite razor-sharp turfed bunker edges, creates something comparable to a classic Scottish links course. The course will offer generous playing areas with many smaller hills and dips on the finely cut parts, while the surrounding environment of rough frames in with rolling shapes.
